Mac Isabel and Ruben Toledo collection Lipstick Victoriana:-

“My love for you will never end….I love you and I will love till the end and then will exchange you with another new lipstick…” heheeee yeah…am talking about lipstick….it is for my new lipstick that I brought one month back from abroad.it is from Mac Toledo collection. Due to all shifting and all it is a delayed post…but finally here I am ….

Few words about Ruben Toledo collection:-

Ruben Toledo fell in love with Isabel when he was 13 years old! MAC celebrates their romance and brilliance sense of style with a new MAC Toledo Makeup Collection that’s a collaborated work between Isabel and Ruben Toledo. This collection is bursting with color and energy making it a perfect pick for spring looks!

Mac Toledo collection for spring 2015:-

Formulated to shade, define and showcase the lips in a rouge-y matte range of reds. The iconic product that made M∙A∙C famous. Specially designed white packaging features Ruben’s illustrations of graphic lines and faces in his one-of-a-kind aesthetic.

This collection includes six beautiful lipstick shades which are Barbecue, Opera, Oxblood, Sin, Tenor voice and Victoriana.

•  Oxblood light peachy nude (matte)
• Barbeque vivid orange red (matte)
• Victoriana mid-tone pink red (matte)
• Tenor Voice true classic red (matte)
• Opera dark red (matte)
• Sin deep blood red (matte)

And I pick the shade Victoriana.

Coming to My experience:-

 

As you can see the lipstick comes up with a beautiful packaging. The white matte packaging with eyes and lips are really pretty but the case due to white it is prone to dirt. The lipstick is described by Mac is a beautiful matte mid-tone pink red which although look more red on my skin tone. The lipstick have a nice creamy consistency that isn’t hydrating but not drying either. It glides super smoothly on my lips. The shade is cool undertone which just goes pretty well on my warm skin tones. The lipstick stays pretty 5 hours and with proper lip primer it stays more than 5hours and yes it stains lips a little bit. The lipstick as I told you matte but not drying but o constant wear it dries out on lips showing fine lines of lips so proper exfoliation and moisturisation of lips is suggested prior to application of lipstick. And yes not to forget the vanilla scent of the lipstick that just smell yummm…

So here are pros and cons.

Pros:-

• Definitely nice and versatile shade.
• This particular shade will suits everyone.
• The matte texture is plus point for me as I love matte texture lipsticks of Mac.
• The texture is non-drying and so glides smoothly on lips.
• Pigmented.
• Stays pretty 5 hours on my lips.
• Transparent a bit but for first few minutes after that it turn matte.

Cons:-

• Limited edition so keep your eyes on mac store as they have limited stock.
• Price….Price ….it really burns your pocket.
