MAC NUTCRACKER SWEET COLLECTION LIPSTICKS :-

Hey Guys,

After a pretty long time here I am back with another Mac collection after Mac flamingo collection (reviewed here). It is the second time that I haul so much that too from this particular collection.

When it comes to Mac I always get excited and so when Mac announces their NUTCRACKER SWEET HOLIDAY COLLECTION, I was pretty excited to grab few things from this collection.

As I grab so many things from Mac that I decided to post individually regarding every product of MAC NUTCRACKER SWEET HOLIDAY COLLECTION.

Yes, today's talk of the post is "MAC NUTCRACKER SWEET HOLIDAY COLLECTION LIPSTICKS."

My collection:-

From this Mac limited edition collection, I grab MAC LIPSTICKS IN SHADE "SO GOOD FOR YOU" and "SAUCY LITTLE DARLING".

Each lipstick priced Rs. 1650/- (18$) for 3gm.

These lipsticks were available in Nykaa.com( yes the first online store in India where Mac is now officially available) as it is out of stock now.

A lipstick in five hues packaged in the playful fuchsia and burgundy shades of our holiday collection.

The lipstick comes in a beautiful colorful case with golden border. The packaging of outer carton and the lipstick case is so colorful that it definitely living up the claim of "holiday collection".

My experience:-

 

The lipstick "SO GOOD FOR YOU" can be described as medium red with a bright cool pink undertone. The lipstick is a versatile shade which will suit every skin tone and that's why it is my favorite lipstick among all the five lipstick in this collection. It is a matte finish. The lipstick has a satin texture for which it glides super smoothly on lips and turns matte within few minutes. No patchiness or dryness after application. There is no tugging of pulling of lips while applying the lipstick. It actually looks bold red shade on my skin tone which I found a bit similar to quite a few lipsticks that I already have in my stash (a comparison swatch is given below), but still when it's Mac and when the entire packaging is so colorful you don't need an excuse to buy.
The lipstick stays pretty 6hours + and during removing it I found that it leave a strong pink stain on my lips.


Next coming to "SAUCY LITTLE DARLING", a beautiful bright medium pink amplified lipstick. As it has amplified finish so it might melt a bit during summer while it goes perfectly for winter. The lipstick is not my favorite one but definitely, the shade is so pretty that you can't ignore it. In fact I hardly had any dupes of this particular lipstick in my stash. Moreover, I bought the lipstick in 25% discount from Mac cosmetics website during their BLACK FRIDAY sale. So overall it was a good excuse to grab this lipstick from this collection. And yes all thanks to my friend (Nabamita) who help me to grab this lipstick and that magic dust powder(will review soon) during discounts.



Overall thoughts:-

Both the lipsticks are very pigmented. There is no pulling or tugging of lipsticks during applications. The matte one stays pretty 6 hours + whereas the amplified stays 5hours+ with the proper lining of lips. As amplified are bit creamy in texture so I found that they do feather a bit at the outer corner of lips after few hours or after taking any meals so a lip liner is must to control the feathering of lipstick.

 Overall one should be little careful with amplified one while matte one is my all time favorite.
