So, today's topic is newly launched COLOUPOP SUPERNOVA EYESHADOWS. These are liquid eyeshadows.
Colourpop launches these Supernova eyeshadows in 5 shades first and I picked up all 5 shades for my stash. Recently they added few more shades which I skipped...reason? kindly read on to find out...

What are Supernova Eyeshadows?
These high-impact ultra-glittery shadows have a metallic base, are extremely long-wearing, and can be used as a base, alone, or as a topper.
Supernova Shadow:-
We somehow bottled up high shine liquid metal, loaded it with glitter, and created an actual supernova for your eyes. This water-infused, super long-wearing liquid shadow is extremely versatile and can work for so many looks, whether you want an all over base color, a touch of glitter, or extreme metallic foil. This high coverage and high impact shadow will send you into hyperspace….no fall out included.
Application Tips
Supernova Shadows can be used in multiple ways!
As a base:
- For extra oily lids, apply an additional primer first
- Use the applicator to apply a small amount of product onto the lid
- Use your finger or our Small Shader Brush to quickly blend the product to create an even, thin layer
- Follow up with your favorite ColourPop shadow
As a topper:
- Using your finger, pick up a small amount of product
- Gently apply the product onto the lid using patting motions
Alone:
- For extra oily lids, apply additional primer first
- Use the applicator to apply a small amount of product onto the lid
- Use your finger or our Small Shader Brush to quickly blend the product to create a thin, even layer
- For extra impact, apply an additional thin layer
Ingredients:
Water, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Vp/Va Copolymer, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Carbomer, Chlorphenesin, Tin Oxide, Dehydroacetic Acid, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77499), Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
These are Vegan and cruelty-free.
The shades I picked are HARD TO IMPRESS, DRAGON, MOONLIT, WALK OF FAME and FIRECRACKER.
Shade description:-
- HARD TO IMPRESS:- warm red with gold duochrome and silver, gold, and copper glitter.
- DRAGON:- bright copper with pink, teal, silver, and gold glitter.
- MOONLIT:- vibrant purple with pink, turquoise, and violet glitter.
- WALK OF FAME:- true gold sprinkled with silver glitter.
- FIRECRACKER:- cool-toned burgundy with gold duochrome and silver, gold, and green glitter.
Packaging:-
Colourpop Supernova Shadows comes in a transparent bottle for which you can see the shade from outside. These are liquid eyeshadows which can be applied either by brush or with the wand provided in the bottle, directly on eyes.
My Experience:-
First of all, when Colourpop launched these Supernova Shadows I was really excited to try out. As I was expecting it to be that good like the Stila one (which everyone raved). So I picked up all 5 shades from the first lot of launching. Among all 5 shades, I found that few are really good while 1/2 shades are little flaky and chalky once it dries. Those two shades applied unevenly with a wand and once it dries it spread everywhere near the eye area and sometimes it just peels off from lid badly.
So a good primer or a proper base is much needed to hold these Supernova Shadows on the place.
Overall at this price, these are really good one but again when it comes to comparing it with the high-end brand I had to say these are good but not best.
