REVIEW & SWATCHES OF MAC GIAMBATTISTA VALLI LIPSTICK TATS:-

When the whole world rave about a collection from your favorite brand then definitely you will desire to have it and so I am…and the result is I added one lipstick in my stash from that collection that I desire…”MAC GIAMBATTISTA VALLI LIPSTICK TATS.”

The packaging is definitely stolen the heart of Makeup lover. The concept of matching the outer case color with the shade of the lipstick inside it is really nice and cute and cool. I do have many limited edition collection from Mac but never saw such hyped about a collection from Mac for ages after “Archie’s Collection”. Alas! I doubt it will launch in India or not…no information till now.

Couture fashion designer Giambattista Valli brings his effortless elegance and celebration of the female form to a collection of timeless lipsticks. Lips take on an air of sophistication in the coral of Tats, pale pink of Bianca B, pure peach of Margherita, regal red of Charlotte and dark cherry of Eugenie. Each bullet features specially designed packaging that’s custom-matched to its lipstick shade.

TATS is described as a “bright hot pink” matte finish shades. I was so excited for this collection to come out that once it released in USA I grab it from there without waiting for it to get launch in India. The lipstick outer case is also bright hot pink matching the inside shade which I just love love and love.

The packaging if you look is really nice and cute but the outer case when I touch I can feel that it is flimsy. It look like made up of plastic that tend to bend a bit if you press it little hard, which is little bit disappointing.

Coming to the lipstick, well, what lies in packaging? The main thing lies inside the lipstick case, and there it win my heart. The lipstick is bright matte hot pink as it described by Mac. But again it is not an uncommon shade indeed. Mac always come up with this kind of pink shades in most of the collection. It is medium pigmented, need 1-2 swipes to get the actual shade. The good thing is that although it is matte in texture but it don’t pull or tug your lips. As it is matte so little bit dry on lips and with time it settle to dry a bit more so pre moisturize your lips before your apply the lipstick. The lipstick stays pretty 6 hours on my lips with minimum fading after heavy meal. The vanilla scent of mac lipstick is another add on to this lipstick.

So over in all it is definitely a beautiful limited edition packaging lipstick whose outer case match with the inner shade of the lipstick. But again most of the shades are near about dupable so if you are fond of the packaging then that can be the only reason to grab it.
