REVIEW AND SWATCHES OF COLOURPOP LIP BUNDLE UP & AWAY

Hey everyone,
So after a short break, I am back in blogging but still, need few more days to be back on Youtube Channel. So till then, I am here to meet and greet you all through my blog posts. 

Between I scheduled something else for today, but that post got deleted by me accidentally so I had to prepare new one as my mind works only once for each post in a day. I will re-post it after some days...I hate myself.

So, today I am up with the most selling Lip bundle "UP & AWAY" all from Colourpop.

The Lip bundle is a mixture of both matte and satin ultra lips. It consists of
Love Bug: Ultra Matte Lip; rich mahogany
Mama: Ultra Matte Lip; burnt orange
Calypso: Ultra Satin Lip; mid-tone pink

I bought the lip bundles from an Instagram sellers Beauty tales.in a few months back. But as I was juggling between Blogging and youtube I simply skip this lip bundle to review. But better late than never...

All the liquid lipsticks that are available in this lip bundle are available as singles too. I bought the lip bundle as it is less in price comparing to the singles if I bought all three. Secondly, I don't have any of these colors in my stash so lip bundle was a good option for me to grab all three in a decent price.

Packaging:-

The liquid lipsticks come in regular transparent packaging of colourpop. The only difference is all the three lipstick comes together in a rectangular shape carton box to signify that it is a lip bundle. Otherwise, there is no difference in packaging with the singles.I really love the wand of color pop liquid lipsticks as they are the pretty comfortable one to line and fill the lips.

My experience:-

All the colors of this lip bundle are my favorite as it a mixture of pink and reds. But still, if I had to pick one I will pick the shade MAMA as my favorite in all three.
The ultra matte lipsticks are little dry which is a  problem with most liquid matte lipsticks whereas ultra satin lips are quite comfortable on lips. Again these are quite pigmented, non-patchy lip colors.

Ultra matte LOVE BUG and MAMA stays intact on my lips for 4 hours but after that, it started drying my lips to an extreme level for which I need to apply a lip balm on top of it or I usually remove it totally with wet wipes and then reapply the lipsticks. Ultra matte looks best only on properly prep and prime lips so I prefer to apply Colourpop Primer before I apply these ultra matte lipsticks. And then with primer, it stays pretty 5 hours comfortable on my lips.

Ultra satin lipsticks CALYPSO is quite comfortable on my lips. They don't tug or dry up your lips after hours. But they have a tendency to feather a bit from the side corners of lips but that can be controlled using matching lip liners with ultra satin lipsticks.

Now here is a small issue that I just found with this lip bundle, maybe colourpop cosmetics changed there a formula in liquid lipsticks. I found that all the three shades turn out bit darker after few minutes of application. Now, this is not an issue but a concern that if you love the color it actually showing here then I must tell you after half an hour it will turn bit darker so before buying these lip colors just keep that in your mind. I simply love the color even after they turn dark so I am okay with this issue. Leaving this point I don't found any other point to nail down here.
 
Overall I am loving the lip bundle UP AND AWAY of colourpop.

REVIEW, SWATCHES & FOTD OF MAC LIPTENSITY SMOKED ALMOND

"THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS HAVING TOO MANY LIPSTICKS"...and when it's MAC, I definitely don't regret buying it.

A few months back MAC introduces a new formula lipsticks, which claim to be extreme color intensity with right amount pigments.
The lipsticks are named as "LIPTENSITY". And it is not a matte lipstick neither a glossy one. Now that sounds confusing, right?

I was confused too and give it a pass when it was launched, but the day when I swatched these lipsticks in stores I just fell in love at first swatch (sounds too filmy..lol ). These Liptensity lipsticks are actually a perfect gel lipstick that neither too creamy nor too matte but a mixture of both with the right amount of pigmentation and intensity of color.

The lipstick comes in a sleek beautiful color case packaging which is matching with the color of the lipstick in it. The sleek packaging is easy to carry in small pouch anywhere and the cap close with a click sound. The bullet of the lipstick is slightly slanting kind off which I found quite similar to all those Mac prolong wear range of lipsticks which is now discontinued. And yes these lipsticks too has the vanilla scent which is the signature fragrance of all Mac lipsticks.

My take:-

Among all the 24 shades of MAC LIPTENSITY, I picked up SMOKED ALMOND, the most selling lipstick from this range. It is described as a "Bright Rose Brown" shade. The lipstick will suit everyone, from fair to dusky skin tone beauties in its own way. On me, it looks like a quite neutral rosy brown shade which is a bit similar to Mac satin lipstick MOCHA, that enhances my skin tone.


The lipstick is gel formula and its glides super smoothly on lips. The formula of the lipsticks is a bit similar to Mineralize lipsticks but these are way better than those. The lipsticks don't bulge or feather from the outline of lips even after hours. It stays intact 8 hours with slight fading. It is not a transfer-proof lipstick so definitely, it does transfer a bit which is not as much, though. It fades a bit from the center of the lips after having a heavy meal but still, it can be worn like that for a few hours more without any touch-up.

Actually, the lipstick Smoked Almond is my perfect go-to neutral shade for my fair skin tone and that's why I don't feel touch up even after slight fading with hours or after the meal. But I don't think it will work with other shades too as they might need a touch up after a bit fading (well, it is my personal point of view).

Overall, MAC LIPTENSITY  LIPSTICK SMOKED ALMOND is a perfect gel lipstick for everyone.

THOUGHTS OVER PAPER BOAT CHIKKI

After being a makeup hoarder or makeup obsessed person, I love to call myself a foodie on second. When it comes to tasting new things and treat your taste buds then I am the first person who will come forward. And so after being a beauty blogger, I turn myself as a food blogger too just to increase my area of interest in blogging...

And so when Paper boat sent me a small box that filled up with "CHIKKI", trust me I immediately open one without thinking that I had to keep it to click pictures of it. Thankfully they send me more than one and I am saved.

My Thoughts:-
 
Paper boat drinks are so famous nowadays that it don't need any introduction today. After the huge success of their flavored drink that bring back of our childhood memories they launched their second product which is nothing but "JUST LAUGHTER AND SUNSHINE"...PAPER BOAT CHIKKI.

These Chikki are gluten free, no preservative and no added colors and so you can share your childhood memories with your kids without worrying.

The smells of jaggery in this chikki will definitely bring back your childhood memories for sure.

Today "Makeup and Beauty" blog is going to review a book. So yes it is the first time where I am going to put my views regarding a book for the first time. I am not nervous neither I am scared to put my thoughts over this book that "simply potraits childhood which somewhere related to us". A book that simply reminds all those 80's and 90's kids of R K NARAYAN  "Malgudi days".

Few words about Half Pants, Full Pants by Anand Suspi by Paper boats:

My story:-

I was not in the city for few days so my letter box was flooded with all the letters and small boxes of products for my reviews. From the tons of letters, my son pulls out an envelope which is little heavy than others. In utmost curiosity, I immediately open the envelope to see what's inside. A green book with few words on top it that immediately took me back to my childhood...those words are "half pants, Full pants and Paper Boat".

 I could have reviewed the book and gives thumbs up seeing just the first page of it where it is written: "this is a book about childhood, best enjoyed after you've left it behind." Those few words just touch my soul and gave me an entire flashback of my childhood within few seconds. The book that starts making you feel nostalgic from its first page then definitely it has some capability to show your childhood once again in front of you through its words and so it don't need any more review but then I thought it will be little rude and bad if I don't elaborate my feeling regarding this book as people might think am trying to be little bias with the book that I got as PR sample.

My experience:-

 It just give me a flashback of my days when I use to sit down every day in front of our television to see R K NARAYAN MALGUDI DAYS...our journey of childhood from our black and white television to colorful one, those lazy afternoons where we friends play together in field...those small fights during play, those anger of losing any game, those running trains far away during sunset...everything was in front of me in a seconds through these book's pages.

With every story, I pass by in this book take me back again and again to my childhood days. Sometimes I am into teary eyes remembering all those bittersweet memories of my life. Sometimes I simply laugh on my stupid act of childhood. Today in my busy life when I almost forgot who I was actually and what I always wanted to be in my childhood, HALF PANTS, FULL PANTS bring back those pages of my life once again giving a slight push to those thoughts and those secret pinky promises that I did to mysel.

At the end of the review of the book ...I must say I am not carried away by the book and so I am not biased at all but definitely, I am effected nicely after reading the book. I must admit that author beautifully recreates all the childhood memories once again after R K NARAYAN.

I am really thankful to PAPER BOATS and the author of this book  Mr. ANAND SUSPI who took the effort of bringing back to that childhood that is missing in this generation.

I am definitely going to pass this book to my son who belongs to this generation of gadget freak who never saw RK NARAYAN  Malgudi days, who never run behind a running train...who don't know the fun of playing in the field with friends during rain so that he can create his childhood memories through my pages of childhood in "half pants, full pants"...

So, if my review touches your soul then definitely grab these book from Flipkart which is really affordable in price and gift yourself or your loved ones their childhood memories that they already have or they might create new like my son.

   How to use product

•         Glide the gel liner along the lash line from the inner to outer corner of the eye.
•         Eyeliner is easily removed with Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.

My Experience:-
 
Among all the nine shades of Maybelline New York Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil, I grabbed 605 LUSTROUS SAPPHIRE, a beautiful blue color eye pencil,607 POLISHED AMETHYST, a nice plum color eye pencil and 611 SOFT N*DE, a beautiful n*de color eye pencil.

The eye pencils are a wooden pencil that needs time to time sharpening to get that edgy tip which means there is some wastage of product during sharpening. The pencils are super creamy in texture and super pigmented. They turn matte after few seconds of application. The pencils work equally good as eyeliner and kajal.Although these are colored eye pencils but they are just perfect for waterline too. They don't irritate my waterline. The eye pencils claim 16hr long wear and waterproof but it stays pretty 7-8 hours on my waterline as well as over upper and lower lashline too. 
These are smudge proof eye pencils so one had to be really quick to create a smudged eye look before it turns out dry. Due to waterproof and smudge proof quality of these eye pencils, they can be easily removed by only oil makeup remover. 

Among all the three shades I was little more excited with the "SOFT N*DE" shade as there is hardly any drugstore brand that has N*de shade pencils in it. And this n*de pencil will suit most Indian skin tones. It actually makes the eyes look bigger. While the other two shades "Lustrous Sapphire and Polished Amethyst" are colorful eye pencils that are perfect to add a tint of color to eyes. Although these two shades are dupable shades but again these pencils are cheap in price to compare to other few drugstore brands and as I don't have this kind of shades in my stash I am really happy that I finally grabbed these. I am going to use all in my upcoming video, until then here are the hand swatches of all three of them below.

Overall Maybelline New York Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencils are quite affordable in price and good in quality.
