Review of Mac lipstick Ronnie Red from Archie’s collection:-

Hello friends,
After a pretty long time here I am back with another Mac lipstick of mine for review and it is none other than from Archie’s collection Ronnie Red. And yes I am supposed to be the last person in this world who is going to review this lipstick for last time: P I mean yes it launched on 2013 and I am reviewing it on 2014….. Silly me! Anyway get back to the review :)

Price: - Rs.1100/- yes it is pricey than the usual one as it is limited edition and I guess for the packaging mostly.

Mac launches Archie’s collection in the year 2013 on March in India. And after launching within few minutes the collection was sold out. Mac introduces this collection getting inspired by Archie’s collection. And there was Betty collection and veronica’s one. I personally found veronica’s collection much better on my skin than betty’s one…But when it comes about packaging I must say till now I found Mac Archie’s collection are just best among all.

Now coming to the lipstick…it is from Veronica’s collection. The name “Ronnie red” itself says it is a red shade but a different red….you all must be wondering red is red….what lies in difference between red and red…: P okay, no more confusion. Ronnie red is a red with slight pink undertone in it …I found it little similar to “Love Goddess” from Marilyn Monroe collection but that shade is in satin I think [may be I am wrong: P] and this shade comes in matte so it is different in texture and pigmentation. The lipstick is although matte but still I found it glide smoothly on lips without any tugging or pulling. The lipstick has awesome pigmentation and it stays pretty more than 5-6 hours on my lips. The lipstick as matte so dry lips blessed people might found it little dry on lips so application of lip balm beneath the lipstick is suggested or one can go with gloss above it J The lipstick fades a little after heavy meal but I found that after fading you can carry that pinkish red stain pretty well too for 1-2 hours more :)

So here summing up the whole:-
Pros:-
·         Nice packaging.
·         Pigmented.
·         Stays more than 5 hours.
·         Leave a nice pink stain after heavy meal.
·         Smooth on lips.
·         No tugging or pulling of lips being from matte range.
Now the cons:-
·         Pricey.
·         Limited edition.
 My ratings:-4/5
My recommendation:- As it is a limited edition so I think I can’t recommended this lipstick to anyone  but the shade is pretty dupable so I guess if you love the shade you can try out from other brands J
